Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy covers GoSquare (listed on the App Store as "GoSquare Music"), the music app operated by SQUAREDRUM LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). It explains what the app collects, why, and how to have it deleted. The same GoSquare account also signs you in on squaredrum.com, and this policy covers the account there too. The rest of our website has its own policy at squaredrum.com/privacy.
1. What we collect
You can listen to music and radio in GoSquare without an account. If you create one, we collect only what the account needs:
- Your email address, to sign you in. GoSquare has no passwords: each time you sign in we email you a one-time code.
- The songs you like and the playlists you make (their names and the songs in them), so your library follows you to any phone or computer you sign in on.
- The artists you follow.
- The songs you download from squaredrum.com and when, so we can keep free downloads to 20 a week per listener.
Your recently played list is kept on your phone only and is never sent to us.
Like any internet service, the servers that deliver music, images and video to the app see your device's IP address when it asks for them. We do not use it to identify you or build a profile.
2. What we don't do
- No advertising and no ad tracking.
- No analytics or tracking tools that follow you across other apps or websites.
- No selling or renting of your personal information.
- No access to your contacts, location, photos or microphone.
3. How we use it
Your email is used to sign you in and, rarely, to tell you about something important to your account. We never send marketing email from the app without asking first. Your likes, playlists and follows are used only to show you your own library, and your download record only to apply the weekly download limit.
4. Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run GoSquare for us, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Supabase, which stores accounts, likes, playlists, follows and the download record.
- Resend, which delivers the sign-in code emails.
- Amazon Web Services, which stores and delivers the music, images and video.
- Expo, which delivers app updates.
We share information with authorities only when the law requires it.
5. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Library → Delete account. This permanently removes your email address, likes, playlists, follows and download record from our systems. You can also delete it at squaredrum.com/gosquare/delete-account, or email privacy@squaredrum.com and we will delete it for you within 30 days. Deleting the app removes your recently played list from the phone.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account information until you delete your account. We do not keep copies of deleted accounts, apart from routine backups that are overwritten within 30 days.
7. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete the information we hold about you. Residents of the EU/EEA, the UK and California have these rights by law (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA). Email privacy@squaredrum.com and we will reply within 30 days.
8. Children
GoSquare is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
9. Security
Accounts are protected by one-time codes, all traffic is encrypted (HTTPS), and each account's library can be read only by that account.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app.
